Having a slow cooker is a necessity in any kitchen. It’s so easy to dump ingredients the night before and wake up to a meal ready to go. It makes it extremely easy to meal prep and not eat out because you “have nothing to eat”. I’ve cooked these slow cooker recipes many times and we love them all. They are healthy, easy, and FAST – very small amount of prep needed, if any. They use spices and everyday ingredients we already have at home. No need to purchase something you’d only use once! Plus, if you throw in slow cooker liners, it makes clean up a breeze.

Healthy Slow Cooker Recipes
1. Chicken And Sausage Creole (paleo, whole 30)
A ridiculously quick dish, which is perfect for weeknights. A flavorful, low calorie dish. Don’t have Creole seasoning? I use this seasoning blend which uses everyday household spices. Great dish over rice or cauliflower rice.
2. Split Pea Soup (vegan, vegetarian)
You won’t miss the meat in this dish. Easy yet flavorful, my husband requests this dish frequently, especially in the fall or winter. For non vegans, simply add your choice of meat.
3. Turkey Chili
Comfort chili for those cold fall or winter nights. Packed with protein and simple to make!
4. Honey Sesame Chicken (paleo, low carb)
Another easy, delicious, and fast recipe. It uses ingredients you’d already have in your pantry. Serve with salad or over cauliflower rice, a side of veggies, or sweet potatoes (did you know sweet potatoes can also be cooked in a slow cooker?).
5. Sweet Potato Chickpea Chili (vegan, vegetarian)
A favorite around the house – just dump and forget about it. Perfect for cold nights (but I’ve eaten this in the heat of summer too!). Recipe is vegan but for a paleo version, substitute the chickpeas for chicken.
I’ve made this numerous times and it comes out perfect every time. Simply throw together chicken, quinoa, canned tomatoes, spices, and come out with a delicious meal. I’ve used frozen butternut squash cubes as well.
7. Vegetarian Enchilada Quinoa (vegetarian)
I love this recipe because everything can be stored in the pantry. It’s definitely come through in a pinch on days I didn’t feel like cooking. For non vegetarians, simply add chicken. A very versatile and easy recipe (only 5 ingredients)!
